Every story begins at the door.

For more than a century, these doors have welcomed those who crossed the threshold of Glenlochie Lodge.

The McVean family passed through them daily. Friends and neighbours were received here, and over the years countless visitors stepped inside to share in the life of the house.

Remarkably, these doors remain just as they were. In all the years since the house was built, we have never needed to restore them.

They continue to open and close today just as they did in 1883.

When we first arrived, these doors opened to an empty home waiting to be brought back to life.

Since then, they have welcomed tradespeople, friends, and guests who have all played a part in the story of Glenlochie.

Every person who enters becomes part of that story.
